The boards of Carbery co-op, Aurivo and Dairygold met on Thursday to decide April milk prices.

The board of Carbery Group met on Thursday and decided to hold its milk price for April supply. However the Irish Farmers Journal understands it is using its stability fund to do so. Farmers will receive the same price as they did for February milk which was 32.88c/l excluding VAT.

Aurivo

The board of Aurivo co-op has agreed to pay a milk price of 28.94c/l excluding VAT for April manufacturing milk.

This is made up of a base price of 28.46c/l and a .47c/l seasonality payment in recognition of the difficult spring Aurivo suppliers have endured.

"The Aurivo board has decided to continue to support the milk price paid to suppliers above actual market returns for the month of April," a spokesperson said.

The average price paid to Aurivo suppliers in April will be 30.76c/l excluding VAT based on the average co-op solids.

Dairygold

Dairygold made a 1c/l cut to its milk price and will pay 29.41c/l excluding VAT, including 0.47cpl quality bonus for April supplies. This is based on standard constituents of 3.3% Protein and 3.6% Butterfat.

However it is topping this up with a weather relief payment of 1c/l excluding VAT on April milk supplies. This includes April milk supplied.

Farmers will receive 30.36c/l excluding VAT for April milk.
