The Carbery Group in west Cork has held its base price for January milk supplies at 34.78c/l, excluding VAT.

The four co-ops forming the Carbery group – Lisavaird, Drinagh, Bandon and Barryroe – will decide individually if the same milk price will be passed on to their suppliers.

On Monday, it was announced that Dairygold's milk price was remaining set at 34.15c/l, excluding VAT.

Prices unchanged

At the end of last week, Aurivo announced that it was holding its milk price for January at 33.68c/l, excluding VAT.

Earlier in the week, Lakeland Dairies said it was holding its base price at 33.68c/l, but its 1c/l butter bonus was being cut.

Kerry held its January milk price at 34.62c/l, excluding VAT, and announced a top-up payment of 0.75c/l, excluding VAT, on 2017 supplies of milk, leaving out milk supplied in fixed milk price contracts.

Glanbia is holding its milk price for January at 33.2c/l, excluding VAT, at 3.6% butterfat and 3.3% protein.
