Alongside its range of tractors, combines and grassland equipment, Claas will bringing the Torion loader to the FTMTA Farm Machinery Show.

Before now, the first Irish sighting of the Claas Torion wheeled loader was at the FTMTA Grass & Muck in Gurteen back in May where it was the main attraction on the pit.

The Torion is a serious branch out for Class which, up to this point, has only supplied telescopic loaders to the Irish market.

The Torion is a collaboration with Liebherr, the German crane and loader giant.

The Torion is the first wheeled loader to be specifically designed for agricultural use and represents a completely new market sector for Claas. The Torion range includes 10 models with load capacities from 3.45t up to 12.4t. Claas will be bringing the Torion 1410 model.

This machine is powered by a four-cylinder DPS (Deere Power Systems) engine capable of churning out 155hp. This loader has a tipping load capacity of 9,100kg and an operating weight of 13,900kg.

It’s fitted with a VariPower (hydrostatic) transmission with three ranges (0–6km/h / 0–16km/h / 0–40km/h). It has a top speed of 40km/h.
