Margo joins Mike for Cavan and Killarney shows

Country legend Margo will join Mike Denver for two shows on his 2019 concert tour which is now in its closing stages.

She will be the guest artist for the big nights in the Kilmore Hotel in Cavan on Friday 22 March, and in the INEC in Killarney on Saturday 30 March. The Castleblayney-based singer, who is also doing a select few dates headlining her own shows later in the year, is celebrating 55 years on the circuit.

“We are delighted to have Margo join us for our shows in Cavan and Killarney,” says Mike.

“She has such an easy rapport with audiences and always goes down a treat.

“She is also great for meeting the fans and spending time chatting to them.”

Apart from Cavan and Killarney, Mike has three other dates on his current tour.

They are in the Lyrath Hotel in Kilkenny on Sunday 24 March, the Shearwater Hotel in Ballinasloe on Wednesday 27 March and the TLT Theatre in Drogheda on Friday 29 March.

“The guests on these three shows are Ray Lynam and Philomena Begley who have been part of most of the shows on my current tour. They work so well together and are big favourites with the audiences. I fondly remember their classic duets from back the years,” says Mike.

Katelyn serenades Declan

Galway girl Katelyn Molloy pays tribute to singer Declan Nerney with her debut single.

“The Nerney Beat is a song I wrote based on Declan who I have been following since I was 15-years-old. I sang on stage with him for the first time in 2012 in Abbeyknockmoy and on numerous occasions since,” says 23-year-old Katelyn who hails from Claregalway.

“The song is picking up plenty of airplays on the regional and online stations. I have always loved to sing country songs and I have also written some songs for family occasions. I am really delighted with the response to the Nerney Beat.”

The uptempo number was recorded at Harmony Studios in Letterkenny and produced by Brian Kerrigan and also features the talents of Declan O’Hare, Jonathan Owens, Al McQuilkin and James Blennerhassett.
