Muriel and Fran are off to the Races

Muriel O’Connor and Fran Curry are away on a gallop. Their new album Off To The Races features a mix of songs, duets and instrumental which also serves as a showcase for their stage shows.

“We launched it during our own sell-out concert in Nenagh Arts Centre and we had a great night of music, fun and banter,” says Muriel.

“We are really delighted with the response to the album and the amount of airplay it is receiving all around the country.

“Our current single, Today, is included on the album as are Do Rae Mi, Wine Into Water, Let Him Go Let Him Tarry, Why Me Lord, This is Where The Cowboy Rides Away, Lara’s Theme and others.

“The album was recorded at Gaf Studios in New Inn and engineered by Joe Gallagher. All the tracks are produced and arranged by Fran and the album also features Dave Keary, Eoghan O’Neil, Paul Dunlea, Philip Donnelly and Danny Sheerin.”

Muriel and Fran continue to enjoy great success on the dance and concert circuit while their TV show, The Muriel O’Connor and Fran Curry Show, is now going into its second year on The Keep it Country channel on Sky 376 and Freeview 87 and is proving to be as popular as ever.

Fran also hosts the current affairs show, Tipp Today, five days a week on Tipp FM while Muriel presents the Afternoon Delight Show on Tipp Mid West Radio.

The new album is available from Muriel’s webpage, murieloconnor.com, and Sharpe Records in Dungannon.
