A series of weekly workshops on completing the 2017 online Single Application Form (SAF) are to be held in the three CAFRE campuses.

The workshops are aimed at farmers who have not completed the online SAF before and are to be held each week until the application deadline of 15 May.

The workshops will take place each Tuesday night in both Loughry and Enniskillen campuses from 6pm to 8pm and each Thursday night in Greenmount campus.

The events are free to attend and places should be pre-booked by contacting 028 7131 9955.

Meanwhile, DAERA has produced the following timeline to remind applicants of key dates in the months ahead.

  • 1 March: window opened for receipt of Single Applications and supporting evidence.
  • 2 May: deadline for transfer of Basic Payment Scheme entitlements.
  • 15 May: deadline for receipt of Single Applications without penalty.
  • 16 to 31 May: applications can be amended to increase or decrease area without penalty.
  • 16 May to 9 June: late applications receive 1% penalty for each working day.
  • 1 to 9 June: applications can be amended to increase area with 1% penalty for each day late.
  • 9 June: deadline for applications or increasing area claimed. Area can still be reduced without penalty if DAERA has not notified the applicant of a penalty.
