I see Dairygold is to close 13 of its 39 stores across Munster.

The 13 branches are spread across counties Cork, Tipperary and Limerick and located in Castletownroche, Carrignavar, Muskerry, Togher, Blarney, Park, Hollyford, Cashel, Araglin, Granagh, Cappamore, Killaloe and Tournafulla.

The move follows “a comprehensive root and branch review of all 39 stores to identify the appropriate investment decision for each store.”

The co-op says it is now in a three-year consultation period with elected representatives, employees, customers and other stakeholders in relation to the stores.
