Dale Farm has announced it will leave its milk price unchanged for December.

This keeps its suppliers on a base price of 26.55p/l, which increases to 28.55p/l with its 2p/l winter bonus applied.

Price increase

Strathroy has decided to increase its base by 1p/l, which now stands at 27p/l.

The Omagh-based processor also pays a 1p/l winter bonus on all milk delivered during December, putting its suppliers on a starting price of 28p/l before top-ups on milk quality.

Lakeland

On Wednesday, Lakeland Dairies was the first processor in Northern Ireland (NI) to declare a milk price for last month.

It took the decision to hold on a base of 26.55p/l.

However, Lakeland pays a 3p/l winter bonus for December and will again pay its suppliers an additional 1p/l bonus on all milk delivered last month.

This brings its NI-based suppliers to a starting price of 30.55p/l.
