Taste of Cavan

7-8 August: Cavan Equestrian Centre, Latt, Co Cavan, plays host to the taste of Cavan this year, a two-day festival of food. The event showcases diverse local food producers, chefs and restaurants, as well as cookery demonstrations from leading chefs such as Neven McGuire and Kevin Dundon. Read more here

Old Fair day

8-12 August: The 30th annual Tubbercurry old fair day festival continues this year with a five-day celebration of all things traditional. Get the chance to relive yesteryear and experience live demonstrations of thatching and weaving, Butter-making, trashing, pottery making and much more. Read more here

Puck Fair

10-12 August: One of Ireland’s oldest festivals, the Puck Fair, takes place in Kilorgan, Co Cork. Apart from the main attraction of crowning of the Puck goat, you can experience events such as live music concerts, storytelling, dancing, fireworks and the horse fair, as part of the free family entertainment.
