According to Met Éireann, there will be further rain on top of the rainfall warning in the north and northwest of the country tonight.

The rain will be heavy and persistent, but is expected to clear in the south and east as the night progresses.

Tuesday will be dry, but blustery, with some rain over the north and northwest of the country.
