With over 20 tractors, all fully restored, the Coolakay museum boasts machinery and equipment from every era of Irish farming, from the 1700s right up to the 1990s.

The collection was painstakingly built up by owner Robert Roe over 30 years.

The collector and historian sourced many of the pieces locally and did much of the restoration work himself.

The museum, which has been open to the public since 1989, was recently extended and the revamped museum was officially opened this week.

One of the stand-out machines on display is this Deutz D55 which dates back to 1947.

There were plenty of machines to keep fans of classic Fergusons happy, like this 1967 Ferguson petrol.

A slightly more unusual red machine was this 1960 McCormick International.

Another stand-out machine was this 1949 Ford 8N.

Robert's collection also contained several jeeps, such as this spotless 1987 Toyota Landcruiser.
