Some 122,372 farmers in the Basic Payment Scheme (BPS) have been paid, according to Department figures, with 912 farmers left to be paid. To date, €1.143bn has been paid, including €15.3m and €2.85m under the Young Farmers Scheme and National Reserve.
In the last two weeks, €38.2m has been paid to 21,295 farmers in BDGP I and II. Meanwhile, GLAS payments of €9.7m were issued in the last week in 2017 advance payments. GLAS training payments of €3.1m were also issued. The 2017 advance payment of 85% commenced under the Organic Farming Scheme on Friday.
