To get into the Eurovision fever we have constructed a list of possible winners that we have left at home this year.

1. Knots Down and Out –Fodder Crisis

This song is sure to pull on the heartstrings of all farmers across the world. Is there anything to be said for another bale of hay?

2. The 2 Johnnies –Silage song

Silage season is fast approaching and this next hit would be sure to excite the grass-hungry farmers to vote for the Tipperary duo.

3.Joe Flynn –The Broken Hearted Farmer

Coming from a different era, the people of RTÉ decided to ban the farming song when it was released in 1966. Up until 2016 this song was not played on the airwaves, but it’s now readily available and has an interesting history behind it.

4.Ritchie remo –Oh The Cow Kicked Nelly

This next song shot to fame when Irish rugby player and farmer Sean O’Brien attempted to teach England rugby player James Haskell the basics of the song. A valiant effort by O’Brien, but we think we will stick with the original.

5. Marty Mone –Hit the Diff

The list would not be complete without mentioning Marty Mone’s leading song Hit the Diff.Always a crowd pleaser in pubs and nightclubs across the country, this is sure to be a hit on the European stage.

Best of luck to Ryan O'Shaughnessy in the final.
