Christmas is almost upon us. Keogh’s Farm is joining in the festive spirit with the relaunch of its Roast Turkey & Secret Stuffing crisps. The secret stuffing in the crisps is a closely guarded secret family recipe, that has been handed down from generation to generation. The new variety will also feature the ever-popular Spud Nav, through which the consumer can trace their bag of crisps back to the field it came from, by entering the field name – which is printed on each bag – into the Spud Nav page on the Keogh’s website, www.keoghs.ie.

Keogh’s Roast Turkey & Secret Stuffing crisps are available nationwide, priced at €2.49 for a large packet or 99 cents for small bags.

Cornstore – cocktail bar of the year

A restaurant in Limerick has been named the best in Ireland for cocktails. Cornstore received the title of Cocktail Bar of the Year at the Irish Bar Awards and, along with its sister bar in Cork, was the only place outside of Dublin to make the shortlist of eight. Cornstore’s fruit and vegetable-based elixirs are infused in-house over a time period of anything up to 14 days, resulting in a range of signature infused cocktails, including vodka with garlic and chili, and plum-flavoured whiskey.

In recent years, Ireland has seen an increase in flavoured spirits and liquors, but the Cornstore group is proving that nothing can beat the real thing.

New restaurant

A restaurant called Monk’s Lane is making a name for itself as a destination for dining on the Wild Atlantic Way.

The restaurant is located in the picturesque village of Timoleague, which is eight miles from Clonakilty, and run by couple Michelle O’Mahony and Gavin Moore.

The menu showcases the best that west Cork produces, from Ummera smoked salmon, to Gubbeen chorizo cooked in red wine.
