I was interested to hear that Gabriel D’Arcy, former CEO of Lacpatrick, has taken up a new role as senior vice-president of Brexit Partners, a specialist Brexit advisory firm.

It will raise eyebrows with many farmers of the troubled co-op, which saw him step down as CEO and leave the business last year, as it ran into financial trouble.

There were concerns over the level of Brexit planning in the cross-border co-op before a suitor was found to save the day.

In his new role, he will join a team of people including Lucinda Creighton to provide Brexit analysis and advice to countries, industries and organisations.
