1. Not having full planning permission

One of the main issues at the TAMS II application stage that is causing problems for farmers, are applications without full planning permission granted at the time of submission.

Other issues with planning permission include not having the decision to grant permission included, and not having drawings attached.

2. Incorrect documents

Another issue that delays an application’s progress is not providing the correct documents, such as an incorrect young farmer declaration.

This must be a TAMS II young farmer declaration contained in the annex of the terms and conditions of the scheme itself.

Other issues that can cause problems are not having sufficient education certificates and not submitting a company registration certificate.

3. Farmyard/field plan

When it comes to TAMS II farmyard plans and field plans, there are also a number of issues that can hinder an application.

Field plan issues with sheep fencing include:

  • Type of fencing and/or gateways not indicated on the field plan.
  • Fencing length/number of gateways on the system do not correspond with the field plan.
  • Gateways must be indicated and be part of proposed new fencing.
  • In terms of farmyard plans – not having all investments indicated on the plan can slow down your application.

    4. Queries

When it comes to queries on your application, not replying to them within the set timeframe of 10 working days can cause another issue with your application.

Another issue in relation to queries on your application is if all queries are not replied to, ie if you had three queries on a query letter, but only two of these were resolved. All queries need to be resolved for the application to be processed.
