To encourage owners to microchip their dog, Dogs Trust is offering free microchipping through its network of vets in every county in the Republic of Ireland for the duration of September.

By 2016, all dogs must be microchipped, but Dogs Trust has taken action in an attempt to hasten the move towards full compliance by offering the free service this month.
