The March 2015-born bull is the first calf out of homebred Galbally Juliet. With five stars on both the terminal and replacement indices, he sold to James Kavanagh, Garryhill, Co Carlow, for €4,700.

Four-thousand euro was the top call for third-prizewinner Begsrieve Lawman. Nineteen-month-old Lawman was bred in Navan, Co Meath, by Dermot Rowe.

Boasting five star ratings in many traits, this Castleview Gringo ET son was much admired in the sales ring and was purchased by James Roche, Gorey, Co Wexford.

Multi-starred second-prizewinner Tomriland Luke changed hands at €3,350. Luke is a son of Ampertaine Commander and the homebred Tricot-Mn daughter Tomriland Grace ET. Luke was bred in Roundwood, Co Wicklow, by Noel Kenny and successful purchaser was Elizabeth Sheehan, Borris, Co Carlow.

Nigel Finlay from Donard, Co Wicklow, purchased second-prizewinner Barryroe Lord from James Wycherley, Carrignavar, Co Cork. Homebred on both sides, Lord’s pedigree features Derriaghy Enfield and Ampertaine Commander. With five star ratings in almost all traits, Lord was sold for a final bid of €3,250.

Noel Kenny of the Tomriland herd was again in the money when he sold his Wilodge Cerberus (WGE) son Tomriland Larry ET for €3,000. Larry’s dam is the homebred Sympa daughter Tomriland Felinda ET.

Securing the overall championship under judge Michael Fox was Maythorn Larry from Martin McConnon, Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan.
