At Tairgi Bia Nádúrtha, only natural organic ingredients are used to create organic pasta. These high-quality products are produced in the heart of the Gaeltacht area of Belmullet, Co Mayo.

The company uses organic durum wheat that’s grown in a small family-owned farm to make its pasta. The wheat is mixed with water and organic eggs. The eggs are the secret ingredient as most pasta doesn’t contain eggs, or even taste as good.

Nádúrtha processes its pasta through bronze die. Most other pasta-makers use Teflon die. Bronze die is used so the sauce sticks more to the pasta, giving you more flavour. It also slow-drys its pasta to keep all the natural ingredients locked in.

A recent creation by the company is the new organic green pesto, which contains extra virgin olive oil, basil, cashews, almonds, cheese, rice syrup, pine nuts, salt and garlic. There are no additives, colourings or preservatives used.

Nádúrtha plans on releasing a new range of seaweed pasta, which is sourced from the northwest coast of Ireland. The pasta contains health minerals and is a perfect food to help control your weight, as the seaweed has only 20 calories per serving and no fat. Seaweed is high in fiber so will help you feel fuller for longer.

Because seaweed has a high salty flavour, it can be used as a healthier replacement for salt in other processed foods. All its pasta is Irish Organic Farmers and Growers Association certified and EU organic certified.
