Chloe and Edel, two transition students from Galway have made use of sample tags as part of a ‘Junk Couture’ outfit in the hopes of winning the Bank of Ireland Junk Couture competition.

“Cormac tagging Ltd gave us a very generous amount of sample cow tags which we used to make the top half of the dress and the shoes,” Edel said.

“We used rosettes we won from pony and chicken shows for the board at the back of the dress and we used chicken pellet bags for the bottom of the dress."

“As you can see our dress is farm-based. Unfortunately we didn’t get through to the first stage of the competition, so we are depending on the life line vote so we can get through,” she concluded.
