Gardaí in Limerick are investigating after a milk tanker and a van were involved in a road traffic collision on Saturday 10 April.

The milk tanker, belonging to Kerry Agribusiness, went through a fence and into a field after the collision, which occurred in the Kiloughteen area of Newcastle West at approximately 12.30pm.

A Garda spokesperson told the Irish Farmers Journal that “the driver of the van, a man and woman aged in their 60s, were taken to [University Hospital Limerick] with non-life-threatening injuries”.

“Investigations are ongoing,” the spokesperson said.
