The European Commission this week published its latest MARS crop monitoring report and has pegged average soft wheat yields in the EU at 6.04t/ha, which is almost 2% above the five-year average.

Rapeseed yields are forecast at 3.2t/ha, which is slightly below the five-year average.

Brazilian beef exporters shipped almost 115,500t of fresh beef in February, which is almost 20% higher volume than the same month last year.

This brings Brazilian beef exports for the first two months of 2019 close to 218,000t, which is 10% ahead of the same period in 2018.

US milk production for the month of February came in at 7.5bn litres, which is a marginal (+0.2%) increase on the same month last year.

Australian lamb exports for the month of February stood at just over 25,000t, which is up 14% on the same month last year.
