Poland – milk supply continues to grow

Polish milk production for July stood at just over 1bn litres, which is up 2% on the same month last year. This brings Polish milk production for the first seven months of 2020 to a cumulative 7.2bn litres, which is 2.7%, or almost 190m litres, ahead of the same period last year.

US – beef exports down on last year

US beef exports for July stood at just under 107,300t, which is down 9% on the same month last year, as a result of lower shipments to Japan and Korea. This brings US beef exports for the first seven months of 2020 to a cumulative 700,000t, which is down 9% on the same period last year.

Australia – beef exports slump in August

Australian beef exports fell to a 10-year low in August due to reduced production. Australian beef exports for August stood at 78,000t, which is down a massive 27% on the same month last year. Year-to-date beef exports from Australia stand at 720,500t – down 9% on last year.

Mercosur – beef exports on the rise

Beef exports from the Mercosur countries in South America (Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay) stood at just under 415,000t for August. This brings cumulative beef exports from Mercosur countries from January to August to 3.2m tonnes, which is 3% ahead of last year.
