Marshall

20 October: Thurgood Marshall became the first African-American Justice of the Supreme Court. The motion picture, directed by Reginald Hudlin, narrates one of his early cases that was vital to his career, as he defends a horrified coloured chauffeur who stands accused of the rape and attempted murder of his white employer. Chadwick Boseman is the leading actor, bringing heart and sincerity to the role as he portrays a young Marshall when he was a lawyer working for the NAACP. The film stays true to the real-life events that occurred and was produced with the full support of Thurgood Marshall.
