Comex McKinnon, one of Ireland’s largest grain importers and traders, saw its operating profits dip 33% to €871,465 for the year ended 31 July 2017. This was on the back of a 0.3% fall in revenues to €137.9m.

Comex employs 15 people. Operating margins fell from a thin 0.9% to 0.6% in the 2017 financial year. The business, which is owned by the Hunt family, saw its net assets increase by €1m to €9.9m at year end.
