The Welcome Home Enniscrone Music Festival, organised by Enjoy Travel, draws to a close this Thursday. A host of artists have performed at the Diamond Coast Hotel over the last five days. Music tonight will be provided by Brendan Magee, followed by Shaun Loughrey and his band. Matt Cunningham and band are on stage for the céili, while Mick Mackey will conduct the popular sessions.

Annmarie O’Riordan is appearing in concert in The Pavilion, Ovens, Co Cork, on 21 June at 8:30pm. Those wishing to book seats can contact 086-046-6778. Carmel McLoughlin has released her new single, A Tribute to Larry Cunningham. It was composed by Gerard Dornan from Co Down, the well-known musician and studio producer. Carmel’s new album is due out soon.

It’s good to see that Harry Ramsbottom from Laois is still travelling down those country roads. Har, who hails from Stradbally, has been part of the country scene in Ireland for over four decades. His son Bosco tells us Har was performing down in Wexford recently, still loving the stage as much as ever.

Eddie Carey and the EC Band will play their first date in the Mourne Country Hotel, Newry, on 21 June. The young and talented Limerick singer is looking forward to his debut at this popular venue.

Diane Cannon shows a highly-innovative approach to her music by recording a slow version of the Buck Owens classic, Under Your Spell Again. Diane, who is from the Donegal Gaeltacht, is making a big impact on the country circuit.
