The organisers have decided to put the focus of this year’s conference on the predicted collapse of milk prices that will follow the abolition of milk quotas on 1 April 2015. To this end they will be putting out a clear message that grass-based dairying can deliver a higher income for farms and families. Therefore the title of this year’s conference is Grass to Cash at Low Cost – The Proven Pathway to Expansion at Low Risk.

The conference will have a range of speakers from Ireland, New Zealand and the UK who will speak about how to grow high tonnages of grass and turn this into high profit by utilising 85 per cent of what is grown, mainly as grazed grass.

We will be bringing you live updates from the event throughout the day on www.farmersjournal.ie
