Hollywood star composed Tipperary Waltz

Simon Casey has teamed up with Hollywood actor Patrick Bergin for his latest single, Tipperary Waltz.

Patrick has composed the new and sombre waltz to commemorate the centenary of the end of World War One. It is set in the era when Patrick’s uncle Hugh came back a shocked and damaged man after being involved in the Battle of the Somme. Mindful of the famous song from that era, It’s A Long Way To Tipperary, the new composition is dedicated to all the fallen heroes of that war which claimed several million lives. Patrick, who was born in Dublin, is best known for his role in Sleeping with the Enemy which also starred Julia Roberts and for playing the role of Aidan Maguire in Eastenders.

This is the follow-up to Simon’s hugely successful Third Dance from the End single and Tipperary Waltz was recorded and produced by Des Sheerin at the Shed Studios in Westmeath.
