Foreman’s dam side contains two of the more famous Hereford bulls – Bowmont Storm and Yarram Pompeii. Carrying a page of stars again, the 17 month old was purchased by a Cork farmer for €2,350.

Top of the Limousin bulls on offer was a bid of €2,000 for Nephin Northern. This August 2018-born bull is sired by Bavardage son Moondharrig Knell, while the dam is out of Nenuphar.

On the dairy front a total of three Holstein Friesians sold to average €1,816. Top of these was a bid of €2,000 for Ballydoyle Rapid 23. This 16-month-old bull is a son of Ballinteskin Arnold, carries an EBI of €230, and has impressive figures of 4.86% for fat and 3.85% for protein.

Just behind this was Ballydoyle Rapid 20 which sold for €1,950. Born again in January 2019, he is a son of Peartree Bryster and carries an EBI of €135.

Overall, 23% of the bulls offered for sale sold to average €2,021.
