The IFA brought farmers to the streets of Dublin to protest against the passage of the climate action bill through the Dáil on Wednesday.

As this paper went to press, the bill was due to pass through its final Dáil stage.

Farmers at the protest said the bill would have a lasting impact on Irish farms and it was being rushed through the Dáil without proper scrutiny.

IFA president Tim Cullinan said: “This campaign is only starting. We have to ensure that farmers get fair play.”
