FTMTA chief executive Gary Ryan said the demand at the auction shows that there is a strong demand for machinery.

“We were very happy with how the auction went.

“We had two goals coming into today. One, we wanted to turn cash for our dealers who had stock lying around the yard and, two, we felt this auction would provide people with realistic values of machines.

“Although we would have to talk about it at an upcoming [FTMTA] meeting, I think that early indications show we would be very interested in running a similar auction between now and next summer.”
