Claaas Torion articulated loaders Unveiled to the public for the first time last at Agritechnica last November, both the medium and large platform articulated Torion loaders were on show. Power ranges from 140-167hp for the medium models and 195-228hp for the larger range. DPS and Liebherr engines are used with Variopower and CMATIC transmissions. Claas reached an agreement with Liebherr to rebrand the loaders with an obvious interest in the silage and maize handling business.
UK company Micron group had a useful attachment for safe spraying of herbicide on an ATV mounted sprayer. The Enviromist attachment allows shielded spraying around trees or other obstacles. A rolling break away system allows spraying right up to the plants and CDA technology reduces the amount of liquid required. They aso offer a larger linkage mounted unit for band spraying in between plant rows such as beet or vegetables.
KRM gets Bredal wide spread kit Launched last year to cater for farmers and contractors who want to spread lime and less dense compounds at wider widths, KRM (Keith Rennie Machinery) had the new K165XE on display. Although labelled as KRM machine, this is a Bredal spreader underneath. It is claimed lime can now be spread up to 30m and granulated fertiliser up to 48m. Debut for Deutz-Fahr 6130 TTV On the Deutz Fahr stand, it was the first UK unveiling of the 6 series 6130 TTV tractor with an IVT transmission. 135hp comes from a 3.6l Tier 4F engine. Rear lift capacity is 7,000kg with a 120 l/min closed centre hydraulic system providing oil flow. 4 rear hydraulic spool valves compliment the three speed PTO. Cab suspension, front axle braking and hydraulic PUH are all standard equipment on this striking looking tractor.
New transmission from NewHolland Taking pride of place on the NewHolland stand was the T6.145 fitted with Dynamic Command Transmission. What’s different is the 24x24 transmission uses a twin clutch with 8 powershift gears in three ranges. Other features of this tractor are a 4-cylinder 4.85l FPT engine which produces a rated power of 115hp and a maximum of 145hp. JCB reaches out to new customers On the JCB stand, JCB unveiled the TM 420 articulated loader to the UK market. It is a larger capacity version of its little brother – the TM320. New John Deere Gator More and more farms have moved from the commonly spotted ATV to an off road vehicle version. These are safer and are aimed at farmers who want to carry more people and materials in the rear load tray. The XUV 865M Gator from John Deere comes standard with ROPS canopy and has a 23hp 3-cylinder diesel engine with space for two or three passengers. Michelin Roadbib road tyres Showcased on a John Deere 6250R, Michelin launched their Roadbib range of front and rear tyres. Michelin are targeting contractors with tractors greater than 200hp and those doing a lot of road work. They are promising long mileage, awesome comfort and precise handling from the tyre range. Sizes available for 2018 will be 710/70R42 and 600/70R30.
Case Farmall A This three model range was unveiled to UK audiences with plenty of interest. Three models with 55, 65 and 75hp are available. A mechanical transmission with either 8x8 or 12x12 is available with a creeper option also available. A factory fitted front loader is also available.
