Weather forecast

Friday is forecast to bring spells of hazy sunshine, the best of which will be over Ulster, Connacht and west Munster.

However, Met Éireann has forecast cloudy periods too, especially in eastern areas, where some showers will develop in the afternoon.

A few of these will push into east Munster later. Friday will be a warm and sunny, with top temperatures of 20°C to 23°C, but it will be fresher in some coastal areas, with values in the mid to high teens.

It will be breezy in some coastal areas too, as moderate north to northeasterly winds increase fresh and gusty there.
