Weather forecast

Met Éireann is forecasting some showers in the morning in the east and northeast, with a risk of thunder. However, it will be dry in most parts during the day, with sunny spells developing and just a few scattered showers, mainly in parts of the north and northeast.

It will be very warm and humid in most parts, with highest temperatures of 22°C to 28°C. Temperatures will be warmest in Leinster and cooler in Atlantic coastal areas, with values of 18°C to 20°C.

  • JBS, the world’s largest beef processor based in Brazil, has announced the sale of some of its largest assets including Northern Ireland poultry processor Moy Park.
  • A 20-year lease is up for grabs on the grassland farm, located at Laragan, Elphin, Co Roscommon, which has housing for 1,000 cattle.
