Met Éireann is forecasting for it to be a bright, fresh day with sunny spells.

While most parts of the country will be dry in the early morning, scattered showers in Atlantic coastal counties will extend gradually eastwards, becoming widespread by afternoon.

Some of the showers are expected to be heavy, especially in the eastern half of the country in the afternoon and evening.

Showers are to become isolated later in the western half of the country. Maximum temperatures will range between 13°C and 17°C.
