Friday is forecast to be a cold day, with early frost clearing. Some sunny spells are in store, but there will be showers too, with some hail, sleet or snow during the morning – most frequent over Ulster.

Winds fresh to strong and gusty west to north-westerly will reach gale force along northern coasts.
