The Irish Farmers Journal now has 295,900 weekly readers on the island of Ireland. This is the highest readership figure reported by the newspaper in the past 20 years.

The figure which comes from global organisation Kantar Media's TGI Readership Survey 2020, reinforces the Irish Farmers Journal's position as the most read agricultural publication across Ireland and the UK.

Irish Farmers Journal editor and CEO Justin McCarthy said: "We are delighted to bring to market the highest readership figure for the Irish Farmers Journal in the past 20 years. We remain focused on producing high-quality unique content which is trusted by our readers.

"With our circulation having recorded double-digit growth since this readership survey was completed, I would like to thank all of our readers for their continued support. As ever, I welcome feedback on how we can further improve both our print and digital offerings."

Sponsorship

The Irish Farmers Journal editor and CEO also announced the newspaper will begin a 12-month sponsorship of RTÉ Radio 1's Countrywide agricultural affairs programme from this Saturday, 17 October.

He said "This is a really exciting partnership for the Irish Farmers Journa on the back of our strong circulation sales growth this year."

Presented by Damien O'Reilly, Countrywide is on air every Saturday from 8am - 9am.
