Monday

It will be mostly cloudy on Monday according to Met Éireann with outbreaks of rain and drizzle in the west and southwest this morning gradually spreading further eastwards.

The rain could occasionally turn persistent or heavy before clearing later in the afternoon to scattered showers and some bright spells.

Top temperatures of 11°C to 15°C.

On Monday evening scattered showers will die out and it will be mostly dry °Cwith some clear spells developing but showery rain will push into some western and southwestern coastal counties by morning.

Lowest temperatures will stay around 6°C to 8°C.

Tuesday

On Tuesday, there will be showery outbreaks of rain with a few bright or sunny spells.

The rain could occasionally turn persistent or heavy over the southern half of the country before clearing eastwards later in the afternoon or evening.

Top temperatures will be 10°C to 13°C.

On Tuesday night scattered showers will become confined to Atlantic coasts with good clear spells developing.

Lowest temperatures will fall to around 4°C to 6°C in light to moderate southwesterly breezes.

Outlook

Wednesday will be blustery and showery day with good sunny spells but some showers are likely to turn heavy.

Top temperatures will be around 10°C to 13°C.

Wednesday night showers will again become confined to Atlantic coasts with good clear spells. Nights will gradually turn cooler with lowest temperatures around 2°C to 6°C.

Thursday will see scattered showers and sunny spells.

Top temperatures around 9°C to 11°C and moderate to fresh westerly winds will continue.

But winds will ease somewhat from Friday onwards as well as showers becoming somewhat isolated.

Top temperatures around 10°C to 12°C and cooler at night with a touch of grass frost likely.
