Horse Sport Ireland has announced the dates and venues for the 2015 Irish Sport Horse Studbook show jumping series. The series, which is made up of classes for five, six and seven-year-old Irish sport horses, celebrates its 10th year in 2015. Last year, there were 1,156 entries in the eight legs.
Arising out of recommendations in the new industry strategic plan, due to be unveiled by Minister Simon Coveney on 3 March, a meeting was held between HSI, ShowjumpingIreland and the RDS with a view to having a better spacing of young horse class dates. As a result, the final leg of the series will take place on 23 August in The Meadows Equestrian Centre in Lurgan, Co Armagh.
For 2015, there will be €80,000 on offer in prize money. See www.horsesport ireland.ie for the full criteria.
