Kerry Group has increased its milk price for February milk supplies by 1c/l.

Suppliers will receive 31.31c/l excluding VAT for the month at 3.3% protein and 3.6% bufferfat.

At EU standard constituents of 3.4% protein and 4.2% butterfat, it equates to a price of 34.41c/l excluding VAT.

“Based on Kerry’s average milk solids for February, the milk price return inclusive of VAT and bonuses is 38.32c/l,” a Kerry spokesperson said.

Kerry said its forward price scheme offers were widely welcomed last week.

Suppliers were given the option to secure a portion of their 2021 and 2022 milk supply at 33c/l excl VAT (March to October 2021) and 32.7c/l excl VAT (March to June 2022) at 3.3% protein and 3.6% butterfat.
