The South East Ireland Ford Tractor Club is holding its third annual Ford tractor tillage day on Sunday 22 September.

The event is set to take place on the farm of Austin Rothwell, Raheenroche, Dungarvan, Co Kilkenny (R95FV38).

All makes and models of Fords will be there on the day (weather-permitting), including generic Fords, Fordsons, Countys, Muir-hills and Ford conversions.

The event is open to the public, where they will get to witness over 40 acres being ploughed and worked throughout the day.

Surprise appearance

To top off the event, all visitors will get to see the massive Ford Versatile 946 articulated tractor in action, the only one of its kind in Ireland.

The monstrous tractor producing 325hp will be pulling a 5m cultivator on the day.

Tractors must be on site for 10am as the event begins at 10.30am.

A small charge of €5 per person will be administered, with under 16s going free.
