Fewer than half of all Knowledge Transfer (KT) Scheme applications have been completed with less than three weeks to go before the new deadline of 21 August.

Figures from the Department of Agriculture show that approximately 9,700 farm improvement plans (FIPs) have been submitted by KT facilitators, with a further 6,300 in progress.

There are 20,000 farmers in the scheme.

Approximately 8,700 animal health measures have currently been completed by KT vets, with a further 500 in progress.
