Warning letters from the Scottish Government, are being issued to farmers who failed to meet Beef Efficiency Scheme (BES) deadlines. A large proportion of claimants failed to hit the 7 February deadline for recording culling, deaths disposal and calving data for calves born between 2 June 2017 and 31 December 2017. Late farmers now have until 12 July to provide the missing data or a reduction in scheme payment could apply.

ScotEID issued a reminder in mid-January and the BES Team issued a further reminder on 2 February 2018.
