There has been a drop in the price of green diesel, depending on whether you shop around.

While prices differ on a county-by-county basis, most suppliers are averaging the 72c/l mark. However, one provider was averaging prices of 79c/l with prices reaching as high as 81c/l in some counties.

This marks a reduction in prices generally as they have fallen back from the prices quoted in January.

Lowest

Meath and Monaghan were among the lowest prices of all counties surveyed with prices of 70.9c/l quoted for 1,000l of green diesel delivered.

Other counties around Leinster reported similarly low prices with 72.5c/l and 73c/l quoted in Laois and Wexford, respectively.

However, another supplier was quoted as offering prices as high as 81c/l for 1,000l delivered in Donegal and Leitrim, as well as in Wexford and Waterford.

Kerosene prices vary in the counties surveyed, with some suppliers quoting prices as low as 65c/l in Meath, while others quoted prices of 73c/l in Waterford.
