Lemken will have a number of new products from its tillage range on show in Punchestown, including the Rubin 10 compact disc harrow, the Solitair 23 front seed and fertiliser storage tank, the Juwel TCP mounted plough and the Diamant 16 semi-mounted plough.

The Rubin 10 features a new disc arrangement which ensures directional stability without lateral pull and thus reduces fuel consumption. This produces symmetrical forces on both implement sides, allowing precise pass alignment using GPS. Other features of the Rubin 10 are its new surface-hardened 645mm diameter DuraMaxx discs, having a 30% greater service life. Each concave disc is now equipped with overload protection. The mounted version is available with a Uni wheel for lower lifting forces, reducing load on the rear tractor axle and allowing heavier rollers to be used for better reconsolidation.

The Solitair 23 is designed as an injector front tank, allowing for seeds or fertiliser of up to 500kg per hectare to be precisely metered by its four metering units. The tank is capable of holding 1,900 litres despite its low overall height. Optional tank scales allow operators to monitor current tank levels and application rates. The Solitair can be combined with a front tyre furrow press or modular case weights to optimise the tractor’s balance.

Turn Control Pro

With Turn Control Pro (TCP), Lemken is now offering Isobus control on the Juwel reversible plough for the first time. Features of the TurnControl Pro system include plough rotation control, working angle, width and depth via the hydraulic support wheel along with the addition of GPS controlled working width adjustment. Optional features such as front furrow adjustment and hydromatic overload protection can be added. All functions can now be controlled via the intuitive CCI terminal or the Isobus system without needing to operate spool valves. The on-board computer allows for operating functions to be combined, saved and activated for up to four scenarios, such as ploughing on slopes and ploughing out surfaces. To prepare a shallow-end furrow, a scenario with a shortened top link and a shallower support wheel setting would, for example, be activated. This novel feature finally allows the Isobus functionality of tractors to be utilised in mounted ploughs as well.

Finally, Lemken has launched the successor to the Diamant 11. Lemken claims the Diamant 16 is better in terms of fuel consumption. OptiLine provides a new adjustment system to prevent lateral pull during ploughing. This feature compensates lateral pull from the plough’s asymmetrical position behind the tractor by having a pressure-controlled cylinder to transfer additional torque to the tractor. This adjustment system shifts the plough/tractor’s traction line towards the centre of the rear axle, thus reducing fuel usage and boosting traction.

All main bearings have been enlarged, with the on-land version being updated to suit larger tractor widths.

Other innovations include continuously variable working depth and Hydromatic overload protection. The Diamant 16 is now available with up to nine furrows.
