Information about jobs that will be available at the Agri Careers Fair is rolling in. The fair, to be hosted by the Irish Farmers Journal in partnership with open eir, takes place on 30 March in the RDS. Two companies – so far – have said they will be recruiting to fill places on their graduate programmes at the event.

Kepak will be filling 12 places on its management graduate programme, while Aurivo is looking for four graduates for its leadership development programme.

Aurivo is looking for graduates from Ag Science, Dairy Science, Food Science, Business and Marketing backgrounds, while graduates on Kepak’s one-year graduate management training programme will gain exposure in operations, sales, purchasing and lean management, according to HR manager Marina Colleran.

Kepak’s hiring process will see candidates invited to attend an assessment centre, to participate in a team exercise and deliver a short presentation afterwards. Successful candidates will be placed in one of Kepak’s manufacturing facilities or offices in Ireland or the UK. The deadline for applications is 21 April, and those hired will begin in their new roles on 1 September of this year. Kepak currently also has vacancies in the areas of finance, technical, supply chain and quality.

Aurivo will also be recruiting for four trainee store managers and two farm commercial specialists at the fair. For the store manager roles, Aurivo is looking for energetic and commercially aware individuals. Successful candidates will become managers after completing a structured training programme. The farm commercial specialists will develop existing customer relationships and develop new store business, while also providing technical advice to customers.

Dairygold is also exhibiting at the fair, and roles available with this co-op presently (these may not necessarily still be vacant by the time of the fair, but it’s likely there will be more roles available then) include manager, asset care manager, production coordinator, retail merchandiser and retail sales assistant – all based in Mallow.

Dairygold’s Mitchelstown facility is looking for maternity cover in internal audit and a payroll specialist, while the Castlefarm location is looking for a shift manager and a production co-ordinator. A supply chain accountant is also sought for Dairygold HQ.

This is just a sample of the current roles available with Dairygold now.
