Theatre

Erin Connolly and the Children of Lir

4 July: Erin Connolly and the Children of Lir takes to the stage of the Everyman Theatre in Cork. The play is a modern-day re-imagining of the Irish legend, The Children of Lir, in which a King’s daughter turned her stepchildren into swans for hundreds of years. Erin Connolly and the Children of Lir tells the story of trying to restore the swan children to human form. Erin must find Fionn MacChumhaill and fulfil the ancient prophecy. However, the evil League of Minerva doesn’t want this to happen. The show is from Lantern Productions, creators of Thomas Kent – 1916 Rebel. Adventure and mystery are afoot, making this one tale you can’t afford to miss. Adult tickets cost €20 and can be purchased on www.everymancork.com.
