CELEBRATE an exhibition of Bronzes by John Behan RHA (1938-2019) which opened 11 May at Kilcock Art Gallery, Kilcock, Co Kildare. John also sculpted “The Bull”, the prestigious prize awrded to the overall winner at the bi-annual Guild of Agricultural Journalism Awards. This exhibition of bronzes is a reflection of John’s output as a sculptor over the last 50 years and in his 81st year, reflecting on the themes of displacement of people and emigration that have concerned John throughout his life as a sculptor. The event was officially opened by President of Ireland Michael D Higgins and his wife Sabina Higgins and will continue until 14 June Wednesday to Saturday’s 11am to 4pm.
