A man in his 70s died after his tractor crashed at Dromore West, Co Sligo, at 2.30pm. There were no other vehicles involved.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has been removed to Sligo University Hospital, where a post-mortem examination will be carried out.

The road was closed to facilitate an examination of the area by garda forensic collision investigators.

Earlier this Saturday, the Police Service of Northern Ireland announced that a man had died of injuries sustained in a separate incident on a farm in Co Fermanagh on Thursday.
