Met Éireann has issued wind, snow and ice warnings as the cold snap moves into the second half of the week.

A yellow snow and ice alert is currently in place for Cavan, Dublin, Louth, Meath, and Monaghan. The warning will remain in place until 8pm on Wednesday.

A yellow wind alert is currently in place for Carlow, Clare, Cork, Dublin, Galway, Kerry, Kildare, Kilkenny, Leitrim, Laois, Limerick, Longford, Louth, Mayo, Meath, Offaly, Roscommon, Sligo, Tipperary, Waterford, Westmeath, Wexford and Wicklow.

Strong to gale force southeast winds in conjunction with rain, sleet and snow will lead to poor visibility and hazardous conditions. The warning will remain in place until 8am on Friday.
